Position Title: Interactive Account Manager

Appian is looking for a Interactive Account Manager to expand our sales strategy and expansion in the Triad NC area. The selected candidate will identify opportunities, present solutions, close business, and manage the growth of a wide array of clients. The selected candidate will be responsible for achieving sales goals, both with new clients and for repeat business.
Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience/training
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of web development sales experience with a proven track record of meeting sales goals selling intangibles
- A fantastic attitude with a desire to succeed in a sales environment
- Existing relationships with potential clients and senior management contacts
- Knowledge of the latest trends in the interactive industry
- Strong desire to succeed and ability to work independently
- Ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities with existing clients and to manage the entire sales-lifecycle
- Entrepreneurial in nature and experience in opening a new sales territory
- Demonstrable extensive prospecting and appointment setting skills
- Ability to develop and manage professional networks with prospects and clients
- Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skill
- Develop new accounts within the territory
- Qualify and convert appropriate leads into potential accounts
- Oversee and coordinate pre-sales activities: RFI / RFPs, etc.
- Create quotes, proposals, and assist in the development of SOWs
- Identify software and professional services opportunities with new and established clients across a variety of industries
- Must have a consultative sales approach with ability to demonstrate comprehensive
understanding of products and services
- Maintain professional relations with customers throughout the sales cycle and ensure
responsive customer service after the sale
- Continuously refine business development strategies to ensure that pipeline exceeds forecast
- Attend sales presentations and arrange product demonstrations
- Stay abreast of new technologies, industry advances, and market developments
- Provide timely and accurate revenue forecasting
